"Hmm." He makes no further comment, and slips into the driver's seat. With Alfie drinking, he's the designated driver, and he never minds- he likes the sight of Alfie with a glass of whiskey, likes tasting it in his mouth when they kiss, afterwards.
He is, all things considered, a good driver. Considerate, calm, attentive- he just tends to tear out of parking spaces a little too quickly, pulls up hard at stoplights.
