"Tommy," Alfie says, and leans on the edge of the desk. He reaches out, and grabs the arm of the chair he's sitting on, and drags it in, a sharp skid over the floorboards, so they're a good deal closer, "you're upset. Take a breath, and have a listen to what I'm asking you. There were four- and now there are three? What marks have the others got on 'em?"
